Some nursing sessions are quick sips, others linger for an hour. Count them all. A session is any time your baby latches and feeds — length doesn't change the count.

Why 8 to 12?
Frequent feeding builds your supply.
- • Newborns feed roughly every 1.5–3 hours, day and night.
- • Cluster feeds count — even three back-to-back sessions are three feedings.
- • A short feed is still a feed. Don't skip logging.
- • If you fall short some days, that's okay. Watch trends, not single days.
